Designer @christinenghdesign reached out and told me she was designing a vignette for Design on a Dime, wondering if I would consider donating a painting. After reading more about this wonderful organization that provides lifesaving services, including healthcare and housing to New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS, chronic illness and homelessness, I immediately said yes!! 🙏🏻💗 #doadnyc2024 #designonadime

Last night she wrote me and said “your painting was literally ripped off the wall by the woman that bought the rug!” 😅 so although this is no longer available, there are 60 gorgeous designer vignettes filled with items available for purchase to benefit this cause! Today through Sunday at the Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC @housingworks @housingworksthriftshop

I was speaking with a friend last week who told me her husband keeps a journal every day. I thought it was a beautiful way to chronicle your life and to be able to go back in time. But, yesterday as I was going through my pictures, I realized that I keep my own kind of journal with my artwork. Definitely not as detailed, but when I look back through my series, I can remember events, seasons and feelings that inspired different paintings 💙 #artistlife

My “Sand + Fog” series began a couple of years ago after a fun summer on the Long Island Sound. These paintings make me think of my love of New England, layered in coastal blues and sandy neutrals ⌛️🌊 #coastalmodern

Staying neutral 🩶🤍

When we were in CT a couple of weeks ago, dear friends (he was the best man at our wedding!) called and told me they wanted to commission paintings for their living room. I brought these over to test the size, BUT they looked so good that they ended up keeping them instead of opting for colorful pieces!!! This is the note that I woke up to the next day:

“That room finally looks finished… was waiting for the right art!
Thank YOUUUUUUU” 💕

I know I’ve said this before, but it’s really true…art is so subjective! It sometimes takes a while for the right people to come along and make a connection with the paintings that artists create. This neutral pair filled with shapes and drips that I painted several years ago was in two galleries before finding their forever home🩶#foreverhome #abstracts

Very excited to share my #newpattern “Tipsy Pagoda” 🏯🏯🏯

I always draw inspiration for my artwork from my life and travels, and this design was created after sorting pictures from our different trips to Asia throughout the years. The pagoda is the most auspicious symbol, filled with wisdom, peace and harmony.

The “tipsy” part was actually an accident, but the more I looked at it, the more the slightly tilted nature of the design grew on me. It’s my unique twist on a traditional Chinoiserie pattern!! 💙 #chinoiseriechic #blueandwhitedecor
